So many colorful planets orbiting a big bright light. And we studied them, we learned amazing things. Our minds were filled with facts since they where almost popping out of our heads, they said we could make a comic l choose Mars for my planet and we worked for a while and a successful comics appeared! Our class whent to the new Children’s Museum, it was so much fun to see and play in a Museum! I wrote this review to show how much fun this Museum is and that you should go too!
Amazing! The New Children’s Museum is grand, it’s like a whole another place. The first time I went it bulged with excitement, there was so much to do! In the Museum there is an exhibit that is called The Wonder Sound, jammed with play. You can climb and crawl. There is a whole room of ropes you can climb; it is amazing! There is also a little room with a dark tunnel leading to it, and there are a bunch of spoons hanging from the ceiling. The sound is amazing! I recommend you go to that exhibit if you like to crawl and discover little rooms.
Another fun exhibit you would love to is the Rain House it is a incredible place to play. There is so much you can play with, there are cloth tiers that you can play with, there are cloth tiers you can stake on top of each other with you inside like a whole (also grown-ups can play to!) I love the rain house!
There is a tower that spells out HOME in each room. There is something you can do everywhere. My favorite room is the O room because the walls are all covered with orange fuzz! E is made out of nature like branches, twigs, corks, wood, and more!
The New Children’s Museum is great you should go there too! When you go it will be awesome!

Our teacher each week gives our class a challenging word to figure it out. They might give us a word that we have heard but don’t know the meaning to, so every Friday we get to reveal the word to know what it means. They challenged us to write a vocabulary story and I wrote one that has vocabulary words in it! Hope you enjoy!
One day chicken Matilda went to lay an egg after that there was a predicament, she could not get up! In her haste to get up she was also very vigilant of everything in her hen house but then she realized that it was no good to struggle. When the day was diminishing a exhilarating idea struck her but she did not know if it would work so, she grabbed a rod on the hen house and pulled she pulled and pulled but still she did not free herself and she started to contemplate what would she do, how would she eat, everything she tried would NOT work, what if she was stuck there forever, how JUST how would she get out of her house? Slowly the luster of stars came out, she longed for help, and drifted to sleep. In her sleep Matilda had a dream, a wonderful dream, a dream with an idea that WOULD work, she picked in her mind, it was perfect. The next morning when the sun swallowed the dark and Matilda’s orange eyes opened and she fluffed her wings remembering her plan, she peeped out of a square carved in her hen house and called, “Sherman!” No piggy came. She called again “Sherman!” And yes in a surge a piggy came skipping, he looked around and then sniffed (Sherman was an adept at smelling.) and Sherman said, “Silly Tilly are you trying to hide? It’s not working I know where you are!” “I know Sherman that you know where I am,”answered Matilda. “Oh,” said Sherman “well why did you call me? He asked. “Well” said Matilda, “I’m stuck. And I need help, so can you pull me out?” She said. And in a flash she was free again to eat, to play, and to sing!
In my class we made a story in Storybird! Now you might be wondering about what storybird is, but don’t worry I won’t let you hang off the cliff. I’ll tell you all about it. Storybird is an app or link and what you do is you type in your password then you make a story. First you have to get the link and you put in your password in. And then you can use your imagination and make your own story! But please read mine, thank you, enjoy!
My class studied about the ocean and we were inspired by Paul Fleischman to write two voice poems about the marine mammals or animals of the ocean. It was not like just start a piece of writing, we had to think of what type of animal you were going to write about. My animals that I chose were sea otter and seal.We had to write a two voice poem in our writer’s notebook and after we typed it up, then we were paired up with a partner so we could record our poems. It was a little bit hard because sometimes you had to say the lines together. And it was so fun! Someday you should try one too!
On Wednesday 4-20-16 my class went to the placid lagoon.We all saw so many things like a I saw a white egret flying across the shimmering water. As I walked forward I noticed a blobby muddy swamp almost I didn’t see any animals in it, because I think they would sink. We stopped for a little bit so we could sketch something that caught our eye then we could take notes about it. I kept on seeing flying fish leap out of the water like a never ending dance. We started to head back, instead of just going back we switched paths, and on the path we saw a bee hive but it was actually a hole! I enjoyed being at the lagoon.
When it was the National Day of Writing, I saw the eucalyptus tree and I wanted to do a poem, so I did. I hope you enjoy.
Eucalyptus Tree
I am eucalyptus
I sway in the breeze.
My leaves grow green as a sour apple.
My trunk is stiff and as brown as milky chocolate,
my branches stretch to the bluest sky’s .
As blue as a blueberry,
the streaks of sunlight beam on my leaves.
My shade is very peaceful.
I am eucalyptus tree and I am very proud!
We did a product review! A product is a thing, like my product it is a American girl dog. We had to do a few steps. First we had to take home our iPads to take photos of our product. The next day we had to take our iPads back to school. Then we had to put our product photos in Explain Everything. Then we had to write a script in our writer’s notebook. Then we had to write it on a different card. Then we had to record. Hope you enjoy!
